the Triptich of Algerianness Foundations and Markers

Résumé

This contribution is part of the celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of national
independence. Several markers are evoked by the text which insists on Algerianness, the
foundations, the term, the concept, the notion and the socio-anthropological paradigm. Signs
and symbols are recalled for a better understanding of the term used, Algerianness.
Algerianness questions the History and Memory of the country and its population, without
forgetting the use of archives and documents that recall the bygone era of French colonialism,
which remained in Algeria for one hundred and thirty-two (132) years: 5 July 1830 – July 5,
1962.
