La subjectivité théâtrale : entre le traduisible et l’intraduisible

Résumé

As we know, the translation of texts comes up against the limits imposed by
the philosophies of language to the target language. The process of translation
of the source text poses the problem of the transformation of enunciation
values related to dramaturgy. This double constitutive enunciation of the
theatrical text makes its particularity. Based on this observation, we try to
show through reading some excerpts of two translated pieces the difficulties
that the translator encounters in the analysis and interpretation of certain
enunciated instances. Our article is a reflection on the issues that separate
dramaturgy from translation. We thus question the dramaturgical significance
of the theatrical translation, knowing the double enunciation of any theatrical
text without which its translation would have only a literary scope devoid of
real scenic perspective. The point is then put on the translation of subjectivity

 into the translated text, starting from Benveniste’s assertions concerning the language and the gains of the theory of enunciation
