Rethinking University Creative Writing Joint Contributions fromAndragogy Otagogy and Neuroscience

This article examines an innovative pedagogicalexperimentconducted at Batna 2 University within the Text Reading and Study module. The studyanalyzes the effectiveness of a hybridframeworkintegratingandragogy (Knowles), heutagogy (Hase & Kenyon), and cognitive neuroscience. Adopting a qualitative action-research design, the experiment relies on a creativewriting workshop utilizing the Hero’s Journey narrative modeling and prioritizinghandwriting. The direct outcome and tangible result of thisexperimentis the publication of the collective short story collection Éclats d’Âme. Resultsdemonstrate a substantial progression in narrative coherence (from 30% to 85%) and learnerempowermentthrough double-looplearning. The analysisconcludeswith the relevance of “neuro-andragogy” in restoringstudent engagement in the 21st century.
