BASE ANATOMIQUE DE LA MAIN
Abstract
The hand is the distal part of the upper limb and has two regions: the palmar region and the
dorsal region. The palmar region includes all the soft parts located in front of the bones and joints of
the hand, as well as in the intermetacarpal spaces. The dorsal region of the hand is made up of the soft
parts located behind the skeleton. The hand is the direct functional expression of the brain, it provides
the upper limb with support functions and motor perfection. Its precision and skill thus allow creative
action on the external environment to use or transform it. Exploration of the hand by anatomical
dissection was carried out on six embalmed and fresh cadaveric hands. The hand was extended on a
board, palmar side up, with the fingers spread apart and fixed by their ends using nails. Several skin
incisions were made, allowing exploration of the hand plane by plane
