Abstract

The ability to fight against Meloidogyne spnematodes was tested using aqueous extracts of four spontaneous cultivated plants with virtues nematicidal. The resultsshowedthat Meloidogynebehave differently towards plant extracts. These data indicate that the inhibition rate of the outbreak increases when the solution concentration is high. Thus, among the plants tested, it is the root and leaf extracts of Punica granatumwhich showed a strong inhibition of the outbreak while the rates obtained were 91.7% and 90.3% after (08) days of exposure respectively.Concerning the influence of these plants on juvenile’s mortality, there is increase of mortality rate according to exposure and concentration time. It reached 71.3% and 70% respectively for root and leaf extracts of Lawsonia inermisand 69.6% for root extracts of Arachis hypogaeaafter 72 hours of exposure.
