Abstract

The essay conductedin the area of Ouargla,for three crop year sand two cultivars:Gharsand Deglet Nour,on floral receptivity has shown that each cultivar has its own period of receptivity.For the cultivarGhars, pollination mustoccurno later than the eighth day ofthe spathe opening. In Deglet Nour,it spread sout the twelfth dayofthe spathe opening.To avoid contaminationby foreignpollen,in a controlled pollination, inflorescences should be wrappedfor 20 daysofthe spathe opening in Ghars. In Deglet Nour,this periodis one month.
