TEST OF OPTIMISATION THE ORGANICFERTILIZATION OF POTATO UNDER SALINE CONDITIONS OF ARID REGIONS
Résumé
Salinity is a major obstacle to the growth of plants in arid areas. Potato is facing this problem in southern Algeria. In this context, this study aims to determine the effects of organic fertilization with poultry manure (PM) on the parameters of vegetative growth and yield parameters, the assessment status nutrition of the plant under saline conditions. To do this, an experimental design was installed in the region of Ouargla in the South East of Algeria, through which five increasing doses of poultry manure (20, 30, 40, 50 t/ha of PM) were tested and compared with mineral treatment and a control (no input) in three sites at increasing levels of salinity: Low Saline Soil (LSS), Saline Soil (SS) and High Saline Soil (HSS). The results indicated that increasing rates of PM significantly increased all biometric parameters studied compared the control and mineral fertilizer, and this irrespective of the level of salinity in the three experimental sites. However, the effect of the interaction (Salinity x Manure) showed that the best performance was recorded by the treatment of site 3 (STS) x (60 t/ha PM), with a maximum yield of 395.13 qx/ha. Furthermore, analysis of variance on the nutritional status of the plant showed that the rates of PM significantly increased foliar content on Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus compared to the control and the mineral fertilizer.
