The oasian agro system whose biocenosis is composed by date palm is in the Saharan regions of the south west Algeria under the threat of the deadly Bayoud disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f sp. albedinis. In the absence of a chemical and biological control effective on large scale one hand, and the range of movement of plants within the framework of the National Plan for Agricultural and Rural Development on the other hand, only regulatory and professional preventive measures involving the farmer and other institutional actors can curb the spread of this disease. The present work conducted in the contaminated areas of Ghardaïa region in the goal to establish state of management in the practice of this scourge by the device set up for this purpose. Despite some positive aspects observed (legislation, infrastructure and experienced cadres), so many deficiencies were identified on the organization, eradication techniques and outreach on the outbreak. Suggestions were formulated to improve functioning of this device.
