Abstract

This work was done in order to fight against Brachytrupes megacephalus, a major pest in the Algerian oasis and promote a biological way control against it. We first do the isolation and identification of indigenous fungi on insect imago harvested in INRAA Touggourt station and secondly, the study of the pathogenicity of these strains fungal on adults orthopter. The results showed the existence of six different species of entomopathogenic fungi: Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium sp., Beauveria bassiana, Penicillium sp. and Metharizium anisopliae. The pathogenicity test fungi using Fusarium sp. Strain on adult B. megacephalus highlights the effectiveness of this strain on the predator, with a mortality rate approaching 100% after 13days.
