IMPACT OF THE EVOLUTION OF THE MICROBIAL FLORA ON THE VARIATIONS OF THE PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PARAMETERS DURING THE COMPOSTING IN TANK OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE
Abstract
Waste management is a major environmental concern for the authorities in charge of the sector: Ministries, town councils, municipalities, .... The management of these wastes and their disposal therefore becomes an obligation. The present work falls within the context of the management and valorization of solid urban waste. The recycling of household waste by composting is currently considered one of the components of sustainable development. To better control the composting process, the impact of microbial flora on physico chemical parameters during the composting of household wastes on a pilot scale in a bioreactor was studied. The results obtained showed that the microbial flora modifies the physico-chemical parameters (T °, moisture, pH and released gases) during the transformation of the organic fraction of the solid waste within 60 days and the final compost obtained was satisfactory for its agricultural application. Keywords: waste, compost, microbial flora.
