VALORISATION D’UNE BIOMASSE MICROBIENNE MORTE DE Streptomyces rimosus DANS LA DECONTAMINATION DES EAUX POLLUEES EN NICKEL
Résumé
This work aims to evaluate the ability of a microbial biomass (by-product of the pharmaceutical industry) to remove nickel from a solution. Experiments were conducted in batch reactor. The maximum biosorption is achieved at nickel concentration of 330 mg. l-1. The optimal contact time between the biomass and the solution is 93,44 min. The optimal pH would be of the order of 7, beyond this pH, the removal is attributed to chemical precipitation. Particle size does not affect the response. This biomass is characterized by the presence of different charges. The phenomenon of biosorption seems reversible. These results show that Streptomyces rimosus can be valorized in the decontamination of nickel-polluted waters.
