Résumé

This article is the product of a reflection on the importance of teaching at the
university and the contribution of the different actors. It shows the extent to which teaching is
a particular action which takes into consideration the university culture and the principal
educational and scientific activities. The principal educational and scientific activities, which
mark out the course of a teacher at the university, are not limited only to the act of teaching
and the application of some theories and certain learning models to situations of teaching and /
or scientific research. The main activities are seen in the ethical and moral commitment of the
academic actor who must imperatively embody wisdom and resonance. This actor, who is seen
through the mentor teacher and / or research candidate, must enhance these aca-demic
intentions while developing a professional consciousness that defines the nature of the relationship
between the different university actors and, eventually, provide a professional identity to
this moral commitment and professional contract
