Many critics and theorists have put on trial the narrative as it was inherited from
early civilizations with its universal narrative structure and with its purposes. Notwithstanding
this, it seems to chart its course by supporting the various modifications made to it and continue
to support man and society for whom it accounts at each stage of evolution
