  • Miloud DOUIS

Résumé

November 01, 2030, seven prominent geneticists refusing to endorse Emperor Gatës
III’s Machiavellian plan to create a Zombieland flee. These rebels of the new world order, of
various nationalities, seek refuge inside a cave buried in the rocky mountains of Tora Bora. This
episode, close to fiction, is reminiscent of the story of the seven sleepers reported by both
Christian and Muslim tradition. This article sets out to account for the two versions of the story
and the references they deal with in common. It also sets itself the objective of exploring the
symbolic charges with which this myth could be invested today.
