Résumé

How to introduce the functions of writing to the young learners of FLE? How
to make them aware of the omnipresence of writing in their environment,
not just school? Shaping their academic literacy is the challenge of the textbook
of the first year of learning of the FLE in Algeria. Its intention is simple:
to introduce young learners to the main functions of writing by means of
reading and scriptural activities.
